Formats, Handicaps & Course Info
Everything you need to know about how your handicap is calculated, which tee box to play from, how each round is scored, and what the points mean on the leaderboard.
Players are free to choose which tee box they play from on each course. Your course handicap will adjust automatically to reflect your chosen tee. Any change of tee box must be communicated to tournament organisers before teeing off.
Each round is played at a different world-class course with a unique format. Stableford scoring applies throughout — if you cannot score points on a hole, pick up your ball immediately to keep pace of play.
round(0.35 × lower CH + 0.15 × higher CH)Lower CH = the player with the lowest (best) course handicap.
round(0.60 × lower CH + 0.40 × higher CH)
85% of their individual course handicap for this round.
95% of their individual course handicap for this round. After each round, every team receives finishing position points based on their Stableford standing. These are then multiplied by that round's multiplier and added to the running tournament total.
🤝 Tied positions split the points. Example: two teams tied 2nd = (96+94)÷2 = 95 pts each. The next position then receives 92 pts.
To ensure a level playing field throughout the tournament, the following adjustments apply to teams that significantly outperform the field. These help reward great play while keeping the competition tight for everyone.
Adjustment #1 — Rounds 1, 2 & 3
If the leading team finishes ahead of 2nd place by the following margins, each player in that team has their handicap index deducted accordingly for all subsequent rounds:
| Lead Over 2nd Place | HCP Deduction (per player) |
|---|---|
| 3 points ahead | – 1.0 |
| 4 points ahead | – 2.0 |
| 5 points ahead | – 2.5 |
| 6 points ahead | – 3.0 |
| More than 6 ahead | – 4.0 |
Adjustment #2 — Round 3 Only
Since Round 3 (Betterball Stableford) has both players completing their own individual scores, an additional individual adjustment applies if a single player scores exceptionally well:
| Individual Points Scored | Index Deduction |
|---|---|
| 38 individual points | – 0.5 |
| 39 individual points | – 1.0 |
| 40 individual points | – 2.0 |
| 41+ individual points | – 3.0 |
